The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force in the EU on May 25th 2018. It is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the EU. It also covers the exportation of personal data outside the EU. In order to comply with these new GDPR regulations we are publishing this privacy notice.
The Penny Black Saturday Challenge blog is a not for profit craft challenge blog.We use Inlinkz as a tool to collect entries for our challenges (you can read their privacy notice here). When entering our challenges, you are required by Inlinkz to supply: a link to your personal blog/online gallery/photo sharing application; a name which will be displayed underneath your entry; an email address (only visible to the Inlinkz account holder); and a photo of your entry. The photo of your entry, along with the name you provided at the time of entry, and a clickable link to your blog post will be visible to readers of our blog. We also allow entries submitted via email for those without a blog/online gallery/photo sharing application. In this instance your entry will be added to the Inlinkz entry tool (by the account owner) in order to be included in the prize draw. Members of our design team will use the Inlinkz tool for the purpose of visiting your blog/online gallery/photo sharing application to comment on your entry.
Winners of our challenges are announced on our blog along with the photo of the winning entry, the name (provided at the time of entry), and the link (provided at the time of entry). Winners are required to contact us via email to claim their prize. Email addresses of winners are used only for the purpose of collecting the prize and will be passed on our sponsor/s solely for this purpose. Email address and emails from winners will not be kept once the prize has been claimed.
Members of our design team select favourite entries from each challenge. Favourites are announced by posting the photo of the entry, along with the name provided at the time of entry, and a clickable link to the blog post.
We select guest designers for our challenges from entries marked GDT at the time of entry. Guest Designers are announced by posting the photo of the entry, along with the name provided at the time of entry, and a clickable link to the blog post. Guest Designers are required to contact us via email. Email addresses of Guest Designers are used only for this purpose. Email address and emails from Guest Designers will not be kept once the period of guest designing has passed.
Those entering our challenges do so in the knowledge that the name, photo and link provided at the time of entry will be visible to all visitors to our blog. Be entering your information to the Inlinkz tool you are giving your consent to your photo, name and link being visible in the Inlinkz gallery on our blog, and published in a post in the event your are chosen as a winner, favourite or guest designer.
Links to past challenges will remain on our blog as inspiration to visitors of our blog. If you do not wish for your entry to remain on our blog, or you do not agree to our terms, please note that entrants are required to remove their own links. Entries will only be removed by the Inlinkz account holder only in the instance of our rules not being followed. Winners and Guest Designers wishing for their photo/name/link to removed from our blog posts should contact us via email with their request.
Please also be aware that those leaving a comment on any post on our blog do so in the knowledge that the name, photo and blog link/profile associated with the account they are commenting from will be visible to visitors to our blog.
